Recovery that cannot be rushed
The 24-hour timelock, owner notification, and per-method proofs.
Step 5 of 5
Prepare before you need it
While you still have access, you enrol guardian wallets, provision a one-time backup code, or provision a trusted-device token. These are the only keys to the recovery door.
The waiting period is the security model
Anyone can initiate a recovery for any address — initiation is deliberately free and proves nothing. The moment one starts, the owner is notified and can cancel with one action. Nothing can complete for 24 hours.
After the waiting period, completion still requires a real proof: the backup code, the device token, or signatures from a majority of your enrolled guardians. An attacker who survives the window still fails without a proof only you hold.
Completion rotates your key
When recovery completes, your address stays the same and a new key takes over — recorded on chain. The old key, lost or stolen, becomes permanently invalid.
